Our goal is the design and development of technological tools and methodology for creating and presenting interactive content for visitors to cultural spaces using cutting-edge technologies.

The implementation of ARVIP is a collaboration between the high-tech company MOPTIL and the cultural production and management company MENTOR.

MOPTIL

MOPTIL is a high-tech company focused on the fields of Culture and Tourism. The company uses the technologies of 3D Virtual Recreations, Augmented (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI), to design and implement immersive experiences that revive the Cultural Heritage monuments. MOPTIL, under the supervision of recognized archaeologists, has developed a range of mobile VR and AR applications for private and public organisations as well as its own branded range of VR applications with more than 100,000 users per year, presenting 3D digital reconstructions of archaeological sites in Greece and Spain. MOPTIL’s customers are telecommunications operators, international travel agencies, cultural heritage organisations, museums and archaeological sites, training companies and the public sector. The company has implemented dozens of VR and AR projects in Culture and has expanded its portfolio in AI and 5G networks. MOPTIL is certified in ISO regarding information security and quality management systems and is a member of the incubator Egg of Eurobank, of Elevate Greece start-up platform. It has been awarded the 1st premium of the THI Venture award in 2021 and has participated in Dubai Expo 2020 and MWC (2021, 2023).

MENTOR

MENTOR is a cultural management and production company founded in Eleusis, Greece, in 2014, investing in synergies with public and private bodies in the CCIs and with the academic and research community at national and international levels. The “egg” entrepreneurship competition powered by Eurobank proclaimed MENTOR one of the most innovative Greek companies. Their portfolio includes projects for some of the most influential cultural organisations, institutions and festivals in Greece. The team has many years of experience developing and implementing multi-disciplinary cultural initiatives by collaborating with multidisciplinary organisations, organising events, and community engagement activities, that focus on sustainable development through contemporary artistic creation, re-use of public space, new technologies in culture, extroversion, community and audience participatory processes. MENTOR has a vast background in implementing cultural projects that explore the intersection of cultural heritage, technology and science. MENTOR has established essential partnerships with Eleusis 2023 / European Capital of Culture, the Hellenic American University & College, the Athena Research Center, the Attica School of Ancient Drama, the Heritage Management Organization (HERITAGE), the Animasyros: International Animation Festival, the Municipality of Elefsina and the Athens Tourism Development and Promotion Company (EATA) through “This is Athens”.
