• Augmented Reality Application

The purpose of the application is to provide the user with the opportunity to experience augmented reality (AR) during their visit to the archaeological site, seeing 3D reconstructions of the buildings in their actual locations. Additionally, with the help of artificial intelligence (AI), they will be able to ask questions and learn information about the archaeological site.

Through the application, using 3D models, the user will be able to view the archaeological site from the comfort of their home through the augmented reality feature. In this case as well, they will have the option to use artificial intelligence to ask questions and receive relevant information.

    Plato AR

The “Plato AR” is a free Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence application developed by the technology company MOPTIL for mobile phones and tablets.

Through this application, the user can learn about the archaeological site he has visited by interacting with an Avatar and “travel back in time” to experience the visit to the Plato’s  Academy, as it was in its glory days.

With Augmented Reality (AR) scenes, the user can, either during the visit to the archaeological site or remotely, to see a 3D representation of the monument. The user will be able to “place” the monument in a location, navigate around or inside the space, and with the AI function to ask relevant questions and have real-time conversations with the virtual assistant avatar.

The application is available in Greek and English, compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
